What Dating and Academic Writing Accounts Have in Common

Dating + Academic Writing

At some point in my life, I decided I was tired of being single. I decided there and then I was going to get a girlfriend.

After all, how hard could getting a girlfriend be?

I know what you are thinking, what does opening an account and getting a girlfriend to have in common?

It turns out, everything.

I started by approaching a few women within my social circle.

Unfortunately, they all turned me down (I guess my game was not on point).

‘The Game’ by Neil Strauss.

Out of desperation, I decided to look for a book on dating. The book I ended up reading is ‘The Game’ by Neil Strauss.

The Game is a mind-blowing book. If you haven’t read it, you don’t know what you are missing.

One of the key principles in ‘The Game’ is that dating is a game of numbers. The more potential boyfriends/ girlfriends you approach the higher your chances of finding a partner who accepts you.

Hypothetical Scenario:

Let’s say you approach 100,000 potential girlfriends/ boyfriends.

Just like that, you have 1,000 girlfriends.

Opening an account just like dating obeys the game of numbers law.

Let’s say you try to open several writing accounts 100 times.

Just like that, you have 10 accounts (all you really need is one account. Pick the best and sell the rest).
